A Bit About Me
Relationship builder. Life-long learner. Servant leader.
Passionate about helping other people achieve their goals.

I have always enjoyed helping people. And, I've always loved to write. When I was a young girl, I thought the best job in the world would be to travel around the U.S. and write articles about the interesting and inspiring people that I would meet along the way. I guess what I really wanted to become was a storyteller. A documenter of lives. A seer of souls. To help others feel supported, validated, and encouraged. Because, deep down each of us has our own unique life story to tell, don't we? Stories that can be buried under the stress of life. Sometimes we just need a little help to discover our story and the things that bring us the greatest joy. A coach to help us pursue a new chapter of our story that will guide us in the direction of more happiness on all levels.

I'm delighted to be that career coach for my clients.

Early in my professional career, after earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, I began working in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 2 different national not-for-profit organizations (American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, and the Association for Quality and Participation) --- both of which were committed to improving workplace environments related to worker health and safety and workplace excellence through quality. My experience with these organizations taught me the importance of how a safe and supportive workplace can effect an employee's overall satisfaction and engagement in their job, which can impact their personal growth, professional achievements, and mental and physical health. If we feel unsafe, unfulfilled, underpaid, or un-challenged in our jobs, we cannot reach our highest career potential.

My manager at ACGIH saw in me a desire to "do more" and a knack for marketing, so she encouraged me to pursue a graduate degree to expand my business acumen. (Looking back, she was my very first career coach!) Although I had never considered it previously, with her encouragement I researched graduate programs and decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Marketing, graduating in 2009 from Xavier University's Williams College of Business.

In 2014, after a successful 20-year corporate career in marketing, communications, sales, and project management within the financial services, health care, and non-profit sectors -- and in the midst of a life-changing and soul-searching breast cancer journey -- I decided to take the leap to fulfill a life-long dream of becoming a small business owner. I launched my resume writing business in June 2014 and have helped thousands of professionals over the years. At last, I got my chance to be a storyteller for people across the U.S.!

For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of assisting clients nationwide to elevate their career. I find deep satisfaction in helping others to achieve the next step in their career advancement. Whether it’s helping a client to regain employment after an unexpected job loss, launch their career after college graduation, re-engage with their professional career path after taking time off to raise children, transition from military service into the civilian workforce, or simply gear up for their next career move/promotion -- each individual’s story is unique and I apply the same creative energy and devotion when serving the specific needs of each client.

As a lifelong learner, I enjoy the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge to benefit my clients. I am currently pursuing my designation as a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) from the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PAWRC), with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2025.

Outside of the joy that I receive from my coaching work, I love traveling, watercolor painting, yoga, and cooking. A few of my favorite charitable organizations include the Columbus Museum of Art and the Franklin Park Conservatory, having served as a volunteer for both organizations.
I have been fortunate to work with so many talented, ambitious, and driven professionals over the years. Whenever they followup to send me an excited message saying, "Guess what? I got the job!"....to me, that's like getting paid twice. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you too!
